Customer Orders:

As you create your seller account, you learn about the shipping expectations you need to integrate into your ordering and shipping processes. You'll also need to confirm this on Amazon after you ship your orders. Thus, we can inform customers about the status of their orders and charge their payment method for their purchases.

To receive payment, you must confirm on Amazon that you have shipped the item. As a result of this approval process, Amazon sends a shipping confirmation e-mail to the customer and informs about the estimated delivery date.

You must ship media items (books, music, DVDs and videos) within 2 business days. Non-media products must be shipped by the shipping eligibility date you specify.

Ship only the products specified on the product detail page. Adding additional products that are not specified on the product detail page to shipments to the buyer is prohibited and may result in the deactivation of your seller account.

What To Do

Review your default shipping settings and customize them to fit your shipping model.

Check your seller account daily to see if there are new orders.

Schedule order reports to track orders and order information.

When sending products that may expose a customer's private life (eg, erotica), use an additional unbranded package, not just the product's own package.

What To Avoid

Adding any marketing or promotional material to the package materials

E-mail-only notifications (emails may be lost or deleted)

Customer Service

According to Amazon's return policies, the buyer can receive a full refund if new, unopened items are returned within 30 days of delivery. Pursuant to the Amazon Returns Policy, you must accept these returns and issue a refund.

Since Amazon sends all order and shipping emails to customers, you should not send any order or shipping confirmation emails. This way, conflicting or confusing messages are not sent to the client. Keep in mind that when you sell on Amazon, you need to communicate less with customers because Amazon handles most of the process communication.

You must not market or advertise products to Amazon customers, and in no way distract them from the Amazon sales process. You should follow this rule even with permitted communications, such as responding to buyers' questions about your products or orders.

What To do

Complete the delivery of all orders within the promised lead time and shipping timeframe, and ship exactly what you put up for sale.

Clearly explain your shipping, returns and refund policies and processes, as well as other relevant information.

Do not communicate with the customer other than as necessary for order distribution and related customer service.

Quickly answer buyers' questions about the status of their orders.

Keep in mind that customers expect the same level of customer service from sellers as Amazon offers. If you cannot meet this standard, you may have to deal with customers who are dissatisfied with your service.

Be courteous and tolerant of customers who ask for information, returns or refunds.
