White Cars Are Being Abandoned
There are many reasons why someone chooses a certain color when buying a car, one of which is taste. But many people are forced to put aside taste in order to follow the trend.
The last few years most of the cars sold were white. This white trend then affects the selling price of used cars. White used cars tend to be more expensive.
Therefore, for the sake of trends and higher selling prices, many people then choose white when buying a car. Taste preferences come second. But car color trends seem to be changing soon.
Because now the white car is starting to be abandoned. This was disclosed by the paint manufacturer from the United States, Axalta. They said the white trend began to fade at the end of 2021.
Gray began to increase around the world at the end of 2021. This color will become the favorite color in 2022 to replace white which has been so dominant lately, "Axalta said in a statement as quoted from Carsifu.

Axalta said the dominance of white over the years caused saturation of the color. So that producers and consumers need another color as a refresher, that color is gray.
In Europe, according to Axalta, gray is gaining popularity. Even the dominance of gray beat white. The population of gray cars in Europe now reaches 27 percent. Whereas last year it was only 15 percent. The types of cars that are mostly gray in Europe are sports cars, sedans, and city cars.
While white cars have decreased to only 23 percent, followed by black as much as 22 percent.
